PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF ELECTION DECLARATION OF CANDIDACYThe Metro West Fire Protection District will hold a Biennial Election for the position of Director, a six (6) year term, on April 6, 2027. The district will begin accepting Declarations of Candidacy for the office of Director, six (6) year term, on December 15, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., at the district's Administrative Office, 17065 Manchester Road, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, for the April 6, 2027, election. The filing period for Director will continue during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will close on January 5, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. The administration office will be closed on December 24, 25, and 31, 2026, as well as January 1, 2027, for holidays. Candidates for Director must meet the statutory requirements for the position, including a minimum age of 25 years and being a registered voter and a current resident of the district for a minimum of one (1) year prior to the election date. Candidates must file a statement under oath that they possess the required qualifications as set out in Chapter 321.130 RSMo. Candidates must appear in person at the district's Administration Office, 17065 Manchester Road, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, to file a Declaration of Candidacy. A one hundred dollar ($100.00) filing fee is required. All candidates are required to file a "Personal Financial Disclosure Statement" with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
