NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING before the CITY OF WILDWOOD HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION May 28, 2026 (Thursday), at 6:30 p.m.The Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Wildwood will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, and also via an online meeting platform (Zoom - link is available on City's website), for the purposes of obtaining testimony regarding a proposal to place a certain structure, building, and/or property (historic element) on the City's Historic Registry, which will then be considered for action. This hearing is open to all interested parties to comment upon this request, whether in favor or opposition, or provide additional input for consideration. If you do not have comments regarding this request, no action is required on your part. If you do want to offer input, written comments are encouraged and should be addressed to the Historic Preservation Commission, City of Wildwood, 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, or can be submitted via the City's website at http://www.cityofwildwood.com/comment. The following request will be considered at this time: H.R. 1-26 Tim Shocklee/TP Investments, 4981 Fox Creek Road, Wildwood, Missouri 63069, c/o Stephanie Zouglas, 1252 Hanley Industrial Court, St. Louis, Missouri 63144 - A request to place an accessory dwelling, which is located at 4981 Fox Creek Road (Locator Number: 29Y330010), known as the Horstman Log Cabin, built c. 1872, per the owner, and 1900, per the St. Louis County Department of Revenue - Assessor's Office, on the City's Historic Register. This tract of land is zoned NU Non-Urban Residence District. The owner submitted an application to place this building onto the City's Historic Register, with the intent to retain its use as an accessory dwelling. No incentives have been requested as of this posting; however, this action was a condition of a Board of Adjustment variance approval to maintain the accessory dwelling's continued use (by individuals related by birth, marriage, or adoption), despite not meeting all the code required conditions for such. This request was postponed at the Commission's April 23, 2026 meeting, at the request of the Department of Planning, due to the applicant not being present.
