CITY OF LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO PUBLIC NOTICE CANDIDATE FILING INFORMATION DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FOR OFFICEThe City of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, will hold a Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 6, 2027, to elect: · One (1) Alderman from each of the City's three (3) Wards for a two-year term Candidate Filing Period: Filing for the April 6, 2027, election opens on Tuesday, December 15, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. and closes on Tuesday, January 5, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. City Hall hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (excluding holidays and office closures). Candidate Qualifications: For Alderman: · Must be at least 18 years of age · A U.S. citizen · A resident of the City for at least one (1) year before the election · A resident of the Ward for which they file and during the time they serve, if elected. Filing Procedures: · First day of filing: Tuesday, December 15, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. · Final day of filing: Tuesday, January 5, 2027, closing at 5:00 p.m. To declare candidacy, complete a Notice of Intention to Run with the City Clerk or their designee at City Hall, located at 200 Civic Center Drive, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding the following dates when City Hall is officially closed: · City Hall will close at noon on December 18, 2026, and all day on December 24-25, 2026, and January 1, 2027. The Notice of Intention to Run must include the candidate's name, address, age, length of residence, and the office for which they are running. Only candidates who file by 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2027, will be placed on the ballot.
